Testers Keepers: MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick Review - Jasmine

Posted on 17 October 2016

Thank you for choosing me to review this product for you! I've never used MAC lipsticks before so here's my honest review. First off I liked the minimal packaging and simple design, the actual packaging of the product itself felt weighty and high quality.

First off, I liked the minimal packaging and simple design, the actual packaging of the product itself felt weighty and high quality.

Application of the product was easy, it glided on nicely and did not drag across my lips, so getting a neat application was easy. I liked the shape of the lipstick, I did not have to tidy up at all.

The coverage was also fantastic, only requiring one coat. I decided not to use a lip liner as I wanted to see whether the lipstick would feather over the course of the day.

Once applied I would say the colour is pretty much what I expected, it felt nice on my lips too, not too drying or heavy as I have found it can be the case with some matte lipsticks.

Being a smoker one issue I have with regular lipsticks is the transfer, it normally ends up on my fingers but I was pleasantly surprised it didn't transfer much at all, it also stood up to me eating and drinking with only the smallest amount of fade. Five hours later it almost looked as good as when I first applied it, there was hardly any feathering either!

The product was incredibly easy to remove with a regular face wipe. I didn't have to rub hardly at all, there was no staining and my lips didn't feel dry at all.

Overall I would say this is a great lipstick that applies well and lasts really well for a lipstick that doesn't claim to be long-lasting.

I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone that's looking for a matte lipstick; safe to say I will definitely be buying MAC lipsticks in the future .

Thanks again for choosing me, I enjoyed testing the lipstick and I hope the review was detailed enough :-)
